Game Developer (Unity)

As a game developer, it is important to maintain clean code, communicate effectively with other developers, constantly seek opportunities to learn, and be proactive in finding ways to improve the game. Сoming up with clever and neat solutions to problems that might arise and collaborating with the other departments to build the game are the things that we value in our team. As a manager, you will have extra duties that we will train you in!

Manager duties

* Facilitate department meetings and manage the department Trello board.


* Ensure effective communication within and across the department.


* Supervise check-ins, check-outs, and team attendance.


* Oversee quality assurance and maintain task deadlines.


* Promote a creative and inclusive environment.


* Resolve conflicts and support department members.


* Coordinate with the management on department performance issues and resource needs.






ABOUT YOU
Are you a student pursuing Computer Science with a focus on game development or a graduate who is eager to apply your acquired skills in a fast-paced environment? Do you have a sharp and strong mind that is always ready to tackle coding challenges and learn new things? If so, we are looking for someone like you!

We need a team player who can collaborate with people from different fields of expertise and contribute their own knowledge. It would also be great if you had the initiative to help with collaborative projects, such as applying for funding and setting up events to showcase our game. As we are an indie game developer, having knowledge or an interest in video games would be an added advantage.




SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
* You have practical experience developing games, either from class, personal projects, or through another company.


* You have practical experience developing games


* You have basic experience with Unity.


* You have a portfolio with games you can show.


* You can program on your own without the use of GenAI.


* You can communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal, as that is our company's language.






Pluses:

Experience in the following areas would be a great bonus:

* You are currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent, in game development, computer science, or a related field.


* Lead groups in class, personal projects, or through work


* A strong understanding of strategy- and narrative-driven games.


* Prior experience working in a video game studio and familiarity with industry practices.


* Prior experience working with Unity Analytics


* Prior experience working with online and multiplayer games, or lobby systems using Photon.






DETAILS
This position can be either full-time or part-time, and you are requested to work between 20 -37 hours a week.

The position can be taken as a remote position or with some on-site days.

Our internships are structured based on a Danish setup; they are unpaid in Denmark. This position will be unpaid,but will contribute to an ECTS-giving internship. We also offer other kinds of internships, such as virksomhedspraktik (Denmark). There will be 3 open positions in this role. We cannot guarantee a paid position afterwards.

Our offices are located in three locations, as we are part of two co-working spaces: Copenhagen (Amager/Nørrebro and Frederiksberg).
