IT Engineer (AI)

Location: Budapest, Hungary; hybrid work environment with office attendance 3+ days per week

What you will do

• Administer and improve identity and access management, including authentication policies, device trust, and automated onboarding and offboarding.
• Manage secure office networking, including enterprise Wi-Fi, VPN, network hardware, and security controls across global offices.
• Oversee device management policies and configurations across macOS, Windows, and Linux throughout the device lifecycle.
• Build monitoring, centralized alerting, and runbooks for identity, devices, networks, and core SaaS systems.
• Manage automation and infrastructure-as-code, use AI tooling to reduce manual work, and develop backup and disaster recovery plans with tabletop exercises.
• Lead the IT roadmap and projects, communicate with stakeholders, handle support requests, improve recurring issues systematically, and maintain documentation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in IT engineering, system administration, and network management.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management, including single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, directory services, and device trust.
• Experience with enterprise device management across macOS, Windows, and Linux.
• Strong networking and security fundamentals, including enterprise Wi-Fi, VPN, network hardware, and IT security best practices.
• Experience with scripting, automation, and AI tools.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience.
• Hands-on, service-oriented approach with the ability to resolve support issues, identify root causes, communicate with technical and non-technical colleagues, and own projects from scoping through delivery.

Nice to have

• Infrastructure-as-code experience, such as Terraform.
• Cloud platform familiarity, including AWS, Azure, or similar.
• Relevant networking, security, or cloud certifications.
• Compliance experience with SOC 2, NIS2, or similar frameworks.
• High-growth startup experience.
