Senior TechOps Engineer (Azure)

Location: United Kingdom; flexible hybrid and remote options are available, with occasional travel to client sites or hirify.global offices when needed.

What you will do

• Build and support Azure environments and administer, harden, patch and tune RHEL production systems.
• Act as an L2/L3 escalation point, manage incidents and problems, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver permanent fixes.
• Debug OS, network, middleware, JVM and database issues using logs, metrics, thread and heap dumps, and packet captures.
• Support Java/Spring Boot microservices and middleware, remediate security vulnerabilities, and collaborate with Security, SOC and NOC teams.
• Deliver infrastructure and deployments as code with Terraform, GitHub Actions and Ansible; maintain runbooks, dashboards and documentation.
• Own backup and restore testing, disaster-recovery failover readiness, and participate in a regular 24/7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in TechOps, infrastructure, SRE or production operations.
• Strong hands-on production experience with Azure and RHEL.
• Proven experience supporting Java microservices and middleware in production.
• Strong hands-on debugging and analytical skills, including tracing unfamiliar problems from symptoms to root cause.
• Advanced Elasticsearch and JVM observability skills.
• Hands-on Terraform, GitHub Actions and Ansible experience, with Python and Bash scripting.
• Strong incident-management and RCA capability, with ITIL familiarity.
• Comfort with 24/7 operations and strong communication skills.
• Experience in gaming or another regulated, high-availability digital sector; systems administration experience is desired.
