Big Data Developer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote, United States

Salary: $132,232–$193,940 annual base salary, depending on location.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement big data solutions to identify and disrupt malicious Internet threats.
• Architect and build scalable, reliable data pipelines using Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, and related technologies.
• Extract, transform, and load data from relational databases, APIs, JSON, XML, CSV, and other sources.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across data processes and develop systems for real-time resource validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data requirements and business objectives.
• Evaluate technologies and conduct proofs of concept to improve threat detection and data-processing efficiency; mentor junior developers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience developing data ingestion, processing, and analytical pipelines with big data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, and Hive.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, or SQL.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, leadership, teamwork, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills and technologies and take on challenges.
