VMware Senior ICT Engineer (Nutanix)

Location: Hybrid and remote from Slovakia only; Košice, Slovakia. Remote work is restricted to Slovakia due to European taxation regulations.

Base salary from €1,850 gross, depending on seniority and previous experience; final salary is negotiable, with variable compensation and other financial benefits.

What you will do

• Implement, administer, and migrate Nutanix cloud infrastructures, including AOS, AHV, storage, virtual networking, NDK, Prism, and LCM.
• Plan, design, commission, operate, and maintain complex infrastructure systems and tools.
• Lead automation and standardization of operational workflows using PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Develop service concepts, prepare technical concepts and decision papers, and maintain technical documentation.
• Coordinate order processing and ensure agreed service levels.

Requirements

• Master’s or diploma degree with relevant professional experience, or comparable knowledge and skills.
• At least five years of professional experience, including at least three years in IT administration.
• Very strong experience with Nutanix AOS, AHV, Prism, LCM, storage containers, protection domains, snapshots, replication, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Good experience with Microsoft Windows and Linux infrastructures, including AD, DNS, DHCP, and file services.
• Good experience with NFS, SAN, NAS, SDS, and backup solutions.
• Very strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalling, overlay networks, and Nutanix Flow.
• Very strong experience with PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs, Ansible, Terraform, and scripting.
• Nutanix Certified Associate, Nutanix Certified Professional NCP-MCI, and ITIL Foundation certifications.
• Customer-oriented, analytical, systematic, structured, flexible, resilient, communicative, cooperative, and team-oriented approach, including conflict-resolution skills.
• Fluency in German or English at minimum B2 level is required; German-speaking candidates are preferred.
• The selected candidate must present an extract from the Criminal Register for inspection due to customer-specific requirements.
