Controlling Operations GBU Financial Analyst (Finance Operations): Supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial close, reporting, reconciliations, personnel cost controlling, and project capitalization for Sanofi’s Finance Operations team with an accent on SAP/TM1 data management, accruals, allocations, and internal controls. Focus on analyzing financial trends, improving controlling processes, ensuring SOX compliance, and partnering with Controllers and Finance Business Partners across a complex matrix organization.

Location: Budapest, Váci Greens, Hungary; hybrid

Salary: Ft9 120 000,00–Ft13 680 000,00

What you will do

  • Support month-end and quarter-end closing, including accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, balance-sheet analysis, and reporting.
  • Maintain master data and perform system-related activities in SAP and TM1, including allocations and specialized reporting.
  • Manage personnel cost controlling, including STI bonus accruals and true-up processes.
  • Track commitments, analyze spend and variances, and provide financial commentary and trend analysis to Controllers and management.
  • Oversee project opening, closing, and capitalization; support asset management, standard costing, POV analysis, and manufacturing performance monitoring.
  • Identify process improvements, educate client groups on finance policies, and provide technical guidance across Finance Operations and Business Partner teams.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of work experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros, and data downloads.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking, attention to detail, and high-quality execution under pressure and strict deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work across multiple internal stakeholders and international work streams.
  • Ability to build partnerships, develop stakeholder credibility, facilitate through influence, and operate effectively in a complex matrix environment.
  • Strong organization skills for tracking and managing a high volume of projects and details.
  • Technology savvy, business-oriented, adaptable, able to learn quickly, and capable of working across multiple systems and tools.
  • Ethical behavior, change-agent mindset, and the ability to propose, lead, and drive improvements.
