QA / Test Engineer (Data Testing)

What you will do

• Define test scenarios and acceptance validation approaches for reconciliation processes.
• Validate ingestion, preprocessing, transformation, reconciliation, and source-to-target outputs against expected results.
• Develop SQL validation queries and automated regression tests where appropriate.
• Support integration, performance, functional, end-to-end, and UAT testing, as well as defect resolution.
• Test batch processing, file validation, error handling, retries, and reprocessing.
• Maintain testing evidence and contribute to delivery acceptance activities in compliance with regulatory requirements and the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in Software QA, Data Testing, or Test Engineering, including at least 2–3 years of hands-on experience in ETL/ELT testing, database testing, data validation, or comparable data-intensive projects.
• Strong SQL skills for data comparison, reconciliation, and validation; experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, source-to-target mappings, and database transformations.
• Experience performing data completeness, consistency, uniqueness, integrity, and reconciliation checks, including matching criteria, expected discrepancies, and exception handling.
• Experience designing test cases, representative test datasets, and expected results.
• Experience with defect investigation, evidence documentation, UAT support, and test automation or data testing frameworks.
• Experience in data migration validation, billing systems, Revenue Assurance, financial reconciliation, or large-volume batch data processing.
• Data-centric testing experience is essential; exclusive UI or frontend testing experience is not sufficient.
• Relevant technologies include SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Python, pytest, dbt tests, Apache Airflow, Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or equivalent database, ETL, and testing technologies.
