Software Development Engineer II - Data Platform

Location: Office, home, or a combination of both; hiring is available in any country where hirify.global has a legal entity.

hirify.global develops collaboration and productivity software, including Jira, JSM, Confluence, hirify.global Analytics, Teamwork Graph, and Rovo.

What you will do

• Build and operate data-platform components for streaming ingestion with Flink and MPP query/serving with StarRocks.
• Develop features and bug fixes from design through delivery and take ownership of code quality.
• Operate high-scale production systems, including on-call participation, debugging, and basic performance and data-quality tuning.
• Review code, write documentation, and collaborate with engineering and partner teams.
• Develop deeper expertise in distributed data systems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with solid distributed-systems and data fundamentals.
• Exposure to or experience with data-platform systems, including streaming or ingestion with Flink or Spark and/or MPP query engines such as StarRocks, Trino, Apache Pinot, or Apache Doris.
• Experience or strong aptitude for operating high-scale data-platform systems, including on-call, production debugging, and basic performance and data-quality work.
• Strong coding skills in Java, Scala, or Python.
• Familiarity with cloud data infrastructure on GCP or AWS.
