Technology Projects Director, R&D Packing & Packaging / Platform Technology

Location: Billund, Denmark. Hybrid work allows working from home up to two days per week; relocation is not offered. International travel of 8–10 weeks per year is required.

What you will do

• Lead and develop the global Technology Projects team of 14, including consultants, while building accountability, capability, and execution excellence.
• Deliver strategic packing technology, automation, and technology development projects against agreed quality, timing, and business outcomes.
• Set project objectives, deliverables, success criteria, plans, milestones, resources, and decision-point approvals with stakeholders.
• Monitor project execution, risks, deviations, corrective actions, and commitments throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive automation and technology solutions that reduce cost and operational effort, minimize equipment footprint, and increase throughput.
• Build partnerships with strategic suppliers and establish consistent project management governance across the global Platform Technology organization.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience leading people and technology project teams, including coaching, capability building, and team development; experience in packing and packaging is ideally included.
• Experience organizing and delivering technology, automation, or industrial projects while achieving quality, timing, and delivery commitments.
• Experience defining project objectives, deliverables, success criteria, plans, milestones, resources, risks, deviations, and corrective actions.
• Proven ability to identify cost savings through technology improvement, automation, and innovation, and to lead initiatives that improve operational performance.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial technology environments.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills across global organizations.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel internationally for 8–10 weeks yearly.
