Composer/Sound Designer (iGaming)

What you will do

• Compose original music in varied styles and develop complete productions using arrangement, drum programming, and virtual instruments.
• Design, edit, mix, and produce music and sound effects for land-based video slot machines using sound libraries, software synthesizers, EQ, compression, reverb, delay, and other effects.
• Record voiceovers, instruments, Foley, and other sounds using audio interfaces, signal flow, microphones, and recording techniques.
• Capture in-game slot-machine footage and edit video for use in the DAW during music composition and sound-design work.
• Implement audio assets with proprietary or third-party middleware and maintain organized, version-controlled archives of final working files.
• Collaborate with audio designers, game designers, software engineers, animators, and development leaders while incorporating feedback in an iterative process.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in MIDI sequencing and digital audio, including recording and editing in a commercially available DAW.
• Bachelor’s degree in music, composition, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience recording and editing voiceovers and sound effects.
• Proficiency with a DAW, preferably Pro Tools or Logic Pro, including navigation, editing, MIDI programming, and efficient workflows.
• Ability to compose original music from scratch in varied styles and develop it into full productions.
• Ability to design and edit polished sound effects for slot-machine games using sound libraries, software synthesizers, and creative processing.
• Experience with EQ, compression, reverb, delay, and other audio effects, with willingness to strengthen mixing skills.
• Working knowledge of audio interfaces, signal flow, and recording techniques; ability to capture slot-machine footage and edit video for DAW use.
• Ability to collaborate with audio designers, game designers, and the audio manager, receive direction, and implement feedback effectively; ability to adapt to new technologies.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with FMOD Studio or other interactive audio middleware.
• Gaming industry experience.
• Familiarity with microphone setups for voiceovers, instruments, and Foley recordings.
• Comfort working in both Macintosh and Windows environments.
