TL;DR
Android Engineer (Android/Java/Kotlin): Building and deploying native Android applications for home health solutions with an accent on mobile architecture, performance, and user experience. Location: Hybrid, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria

What you will do

  • Define product features with product management, UX design, and engineering for home health solutions.
  • Drive Android system architecture and implement, test, and deploy mobile features in an agile environment.
  • Apply progressive code design and review practices, identify performance bottlenecks, and improve existing applications.
  • Build reusable libraries, demonstrations, documentation, and other engineering artifacts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience building complex native Android applications using MVP or MVVM architecture patterns and successfully delivering them to customers.
  • 3+ years of experience publishing mobile applications to the Google Play Store.
  • Proficiency with the Android SDK, Java, Kotlin, Android Studio, object-oriented programming, and design.
  • Experience using RESTful APIs and functional knowledge of Android Material Design Guidelines.
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices across the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Ability to take features from requirements scoping through launch, solve software or workflow problems, and decompose them into clear APIs and UX actions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and time management skills, with emphasis on performance, user experience, and scalability.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Product, UI/UX, and Back-end teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Realm, Retrofit, Firebase, or similar third-party libraries and frameworks.
