What you will do

• Deliver real-world, enquiry-based Mathematics lessons aligned with the Cambridge Mathematics curriculum.
• Prepare students for IGCSE, AS, and A-Level examinations.
• Design rigorous lesson plans, use technology to support instruction, and assess student progress.
• Set ambitious learning goals, provide feedback, and adjust content and delivery using assessment data.
• Observe, coach, and model effective teaching for new teachers while participating in feedback, professional development, and collaborative meetings.
• Communicate with parents, contribute to at least one co-curricular activity per term, and fulfil assigned supervision duties, including occasional morning, evening, and weekend events.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or a similar degree; a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is ideal.
• Mathematics major including Statistics through the third year of university.
• At least 2 years of senior school Mathematics teaching experience with Grades 8–12.
• Experience and/or understanding of Cambridge or IEB curriculum objectives is ideal.
• SACE registration.
• Ability to lead a classroom independently and understanding of student-centred, enquiry-based learning.
• Strong understanding of children and the ability to connect with the relevant age group.
• Team-oriented approach, collaborative problem-solving skills, and ability to use technology for instruction.

Nice to have

• Physics qualification.
• Experience and/or understanding of Cambridge or IEB curriculum objectives.
