Game Artist (iGaming)

Location: Silverwater, Australia; onsite with a 4:1 on-site working arrangement

What you will do

• Create high-quality illustrations for slot symbols, characters, backgrounds, feature screens, and UI elements.
• Translate game concepts, design requirements, and creative briefs into polished, production-ready artwork.
• Maintain established art styles, visual consistency, artistic quality, and project timelines.
• Collaborate with designers, animators, developers, production teams, and senior artists throughout the project lifecycle.
• Create design variations, iterate on feedback, prepare assets for production and game integration, and communicate risks or challenges.
• Contribute ideas during concept discussions and art reviews, and support associate artists through guidance and knowledge sharing when required.

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of experience in gaming.
• Portfolio with examples and detailed breakdowns showcasing practical work.
• Strong illustration and digital painting skills.
• Understanding of composition, color theory, lighting, perspective, and visual storytelling.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and other relevant digital art tools.
• Ability to create clean, polished, production-ready artwork and work with game art asset creation workflows and pipelines.
• Strong attention to detail and visual consistency, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of game production constraints, asset optimization, implementation requirements, readability, player engagement, and game functionality.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, operating a computer, and using close and distance vision.
