Network Engineer - Juniper Focused

What you will do

• Manage monitoring systems and maintain availability and performance of core network services.
• Troubleshoot faults, isolate problems, implement corrective actions, and escalate issues to Network Engineering when required.
• Liaise with third-party suppliers on troubleshooting, upgrades, service impacts, network changes, and escalations.
• Provision and configure core network devices and services, including IP assignments, DNS, monitoring software, NNI ports, and controlled network changes.
• Build, install, configure, and audit network equipment, hardware, security, serial numbers, and configurations.
• Write monitoring plugins, configure graphing, maintain NOC documentation, and provide Tier 3 escalation support for core datacenter, access network, and hirify.global services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Network Operations experience.
• Strong troubleshooting knowledge of TCP/IP routing protocols, including STP, VRRP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and IPSec.
• Strong knowledge of WAN technologies and network monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Adtran routing, switching, and firewall devices.
• Experience with VoIP, VPNs, security protocols, centralized device monitoring and management tools, and Linux OS/networking.
• JNCIA or CCNA certification required.
• Strong multitasking, attention to detail, organization, analysis, creative problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills under pressure.
• Ability to work within a global team in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision and participate in a 24x7 call-out rotation if required.

Nice to have

• Experience with SD-WAN deployment.
• JNCIP or CCNP certification.
