Health and Safety Manager

Location: Remote or hybrid, Romania; hybrid employees should live within commuting distance of an office. Occasional travel may be required.

What you will do

• Support the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of Health & Safety policies, procedures, programmes, training, and documentation, initially focused on Romania.
• Monitor Romanian Health & Safety requirements and support regulatory compliance and record-keeping.
• Conduct and support workplace risk assessments, identify hazards, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Support incident reporting and investigations, including follow-up and corrective-action tracking.
• Partner with HR, Workplace, Security, business teams, and external providers to improve Health & Safety awareness and compliance.
• Support emergency preparedness, drills, regional EMEA programmes, projects, reporting, and stakeholder guidance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant occupational Health & Safety experience.
• Good working knowledge of Romanian Health & Safety legislation and requirements.
• Experience conducting or supporting workplace risk assessments.
• Experience supporting incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Experience working with internal stakeholders and/or external Health & Safety providers.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work proactively and independently while recognising when guidance or escalation is appropriate.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Romanian and English.

• Exposure to Health & Safety requirements in other European countries.
• Experience in a corporate office, technology, facilities, engineering, or other complex operational environment.
• Exposure to data centres or critical infrastructure.
• Exposure to physical security or emergency management.
• Experience supporting Health & Safety training or awareness programmes.
• Experience working with external vendors, consultants, authorities, or certification bodies.
• Relevant Romanian Health & Safety/SSM qualifications or professional certifications.
• French or German language skills.
