Proposal Writer (Health Research)

Location: Hybrid, 8 days per month, in Madrid, Spain; Cluj-Napoca, Romania is also listed as a location.

What you will do

• Develop clear, accurate, and customer-focused proposals for RFPs, tenders, and other formal RFx opportunities, primarily for Health Research and additionally for Health International.
• Coordinate inputs, timelines, review cycles, approvals, and submissions across Sales, Product, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, and subject matter experts.
• Write, edit, proofread, and format responses while ensuring compliance with customer requirements and internal standards.
• Analyze solicitation requirements and create response plans, content outlines, bid calendars, and responsibility matrices.
• Maintain proposal content libraries, track deadlines, risks, outcomes, workload, turnaround times, and quality measures.
• Improve RFP and tender processes, templates, tools, content governance, and proposal best practices across regions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in proposal writing, tender management, RFP response, bid management, or related commercial writing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Exceptional editing, proofreading, and document-quality skills, with the ability to interpret complex requirements and translate them into clear, persuasive responses.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, compliant delivery within tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational, project management, and analytical skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, including Sales, Product, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, and subject matter experts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice to have

• Additional European language skills.
• Experience with proposal management, content management, or CRM tools.
• Knowledge of healthcare, health research, clinical, scientific, or information services environments.
