Lead UX/UI Designer

What you will do

• Design simple, user-centric experiences for highly technical web, mobile, and in-car automotive products.
• Define, evolve, and scale the HERE Design System across system design, product UI, and data visualization.
• Create comprehensive design documentation and communicate design decisions to designers, developers, and stakeholders.
• Work closely with software engineering to understand technical constraints and ensure correct implementation of design assets.
• Collaborate with designers and developers to gather feedback, test solutions, and improve the design system.
• Manage multiple projects and stakeholders, meet deadlines, and solve customer problems using data and UX best practices.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Digital Design, Interaction Design, Software Product Design, or a related discipline.
• At least 6+ years of experience in a similar role.
• High-quality UI and UX portfolio demonstrating the ability to design, prototype, and build user-centric web and mobile applications.
• Systematic, user-centric approach to breaking down problems and communicating design narratives and decisions to broad audiences.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate visual and non-visual ideas through sketches and mid- to high-fidelity designs.
• Strong understanding of design systems, including design tokens, components, color systems, accessibility, and documentation.
• Experience using research and data to inform and validate design decisions, applying common design processes and standards, and following agile development practices.
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS.

Nice to have

• Experience designing automotive applications.
• Experience working with version control systems such as GitLab, SVN, or GitHub.
