Graduate Industrial Designer

Location: Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland; full-time, permanent, onsite role.

Salary: €33,000 per year.

What you will do

• Participate in research, extract insights, and investigate industry trends to inspire design solutions.
• Develop product concepts and holistic user experiences for consumer, professional, and healthcare brands.
• Apply sustainability principles and integrate emerging technologies, including AI, machine learning, generative AI, and XR, into design solutions.
• Develop concepts from early vision through craft models, digital designs, working prototypes, and designs for manufacture.
• Build compelling design narratives, communicate brand values, and present work clearly and persuasively to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients across Ireland and internationally while continuing to develop creative, technical, and communication skills.

Requirements

• Excellent portfolio demonstrating industrial design experience, skills, thinking, and methodology.
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, completed or underway.
• Fluent and confident hand sketching and craft modelling skills.
• Strong aesthetic sensibility, exceptional attention to detail, and empathy for user needs, motivations, and behaviours.
• Thorough understanding of three-dimensional design and proficiency with Rhino, SolidWorks, KeyShot, or similar tools.
• Proficiency across multiple design tools, including Miro, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Teams.
• Ability to understand brand values and create compelling stories.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate and persuade.
• Solid understanding of engineering and manufacturing requirements, with a keen interest in design trends, creativity, and emerging technologies.
