Software QA Engineer

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; hybrid schedule with 3 days working from the office and 2 days working from home.

Salary: up to MYR 6,000.

What you will do

• Participate in requirements and design reviews to assess product features and testability.
• Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases covering functionality, usability, and system quality.
• Perform functional, end-to-end, UAT, and regression testing across multiple projects.
• Identify, document, and track defects while collaborating with developers on timely resolution.
• Validate APIs with Postman or similar tools and support test planning, test data preparation, and execution.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to improve user experience, QA processes, documentation, and testing standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software testing experience with a strong focus on manual testing.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test case design, and defect management.
• Experience with functional, regression, UAT, and end-to-end testing.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Good attention to detail and a strong focus on user experience and quality.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Exposure to test automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated test cases.
• Experience supporting performance and basic load testing.
