Senior Hardware Product Manager – Enterprise Networking & Security Hardware (NetSec)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; primarily office-based. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $153,000–$247,500 per year, plus potential restricted stock units and bonus.

What you will do

• Define the hardware strategy, specifications, component selection, vendor timelines, and lifecycle roadmaps for switching, routing, SD-WAN, and security appliances.
• Translate customer and market requirements into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, KPIs, and roadmap priorities.
• Lead manufacturing partnerships, supply chain alignment, COGS optimization, forecasting, orderability, pricing, and new product introduction activities.
• Manage hardware integrations with technology and silicon partners and oversee FIPS, Common Criteria, and NEBS certifications.
• Use telemetry, AIOps, customer data, and operational data to improve performance, reliability, component quality, and product decisions.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Technical Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Sales, Customer Support, and Field teams; present QBRs and represent the platform portfolio to customers and executives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in product management, technical product management, technical marketing, engineering leadership, or a related technical role, including 3+ years with security, networking, switching infrastructure, or related platform products.
• Deep understanding of ASIC, FPGA, and CPU architectures and hardware offloads for security, switching, and routing at line rate.
• Expertise defining enterprise hardware specifications, including L2/L3 switching, routing, SD-WAN, PoE, Ethernet speeds, network topologies, and optics/transceiver technologies.
• Experience leading complex hardware platforms through the full NPI lifecycle, including EVT, DVT, and PVT, and managing manufacturing partners, vendor timelines, component selection, and supply chain alignment.
• Demonstrated success in COGS optimization, margin management, ROI modeling, and forecasting with Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations.
• Ability to solve complex cross-functional challenges, operate in ambiguity, and make data-backed decisions in high-stakes environments.
• Ability to connect engineering discussions with executive strategy and collaborate with Technical Marketing, Sales, IT, and Field teams to support product adoption.
• Awareness of global technology trends, market shifts, and competitive landscapes affecting enterprise hardware performance, density, and value.
