Launch Integration Engineer (Spacecraft)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite. Flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and occasional travel may be required.

Salary: $140,000–$175,000 per year.

What you will do

• Build, organize, and manage schedules for integrating multiple payloads onto Helios vehicles.
• Manage payload requirements and coordinate their implementation and verification with the Integration team.
• Plan multiple launch campaigns each year across different launch facilities and launch providers.
• Execute critical system-level testing while working directly with subsystem owners.
• Develop innovative solutions independently and communicate technically across propulsion, avionics, structures, software, test, and manufacturing teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials engineering, or another engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience integrating, designing, launching, and/or building spacecraft or launch vehicles.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by operations.
• Willingness to provide occasional travel support.
• Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an export license under applicable U.S. export regulations, including ITAR and EAR.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of experience integrating, designing, launching, and/or building spacecraft or launch vehicles.
• Experience launching spacecraft on multiple launch vehicles and rideshare missions.
• Excellent written and oral communication, including translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomous, and demanding environment.
