What you will do

• Contribute code to production systems from the get-go.
• Work across a diverse tech-stack including Elasticsearch, Kafka, SNS/SQS, and Aerospike.
• Design significant features for core customer functionality and influence architecture.
• Implement industry best practices and novel patterns to improve codebase and product.
• Partner with team members to plan and deliver customer applications for emerging use cases.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building backend services and applications.
• Experience with Java, Scala, Python, and/or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience working with microservices, distributed systems, and real-time streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis).
• Experience with databases (Postgres, Redis, Aerospike).
• Strong object-oriented design, API design, data modeling, and coding skills.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Proven track record of implementing strong engineering practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
