Software Engineering in Test (Python)

Location: Remote in Ukraine

hirify.global provides software engineering services for a client developing medical devices and software solutions for blood and plasma collection, transfusion medicine, and diagnostic testing.

What you will do

• Maintain and enhance Python-based automated test frameworks using Pytest.
• Develop automated tests for desktop applications, web interfaces, REST APIs, medical device integrations, and end-to-end workflows.
• Support improvements to test automation architecture, infrastructure, and coverage.
• Investigate automation failures, analyze logs, and troubleshoot integration issues.
• Execute system, integration, and verification testing; log, verify, track, and report defects and results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and communicate with customer stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in test automation using Python and Pytest.
• Practical experience with desktop application test automation using Python and tools such as Squish, pywinauto, pytest-qt, or similar solutions.
• Proficiency in web UI automation using Playwright and hands-on experience with REST API test automation.
• Strong understanding of object-based UI automation and test framework design principles.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Experience working with AWS.
• Knowledge of SQL for test data validation.
• Experience with Windows and Linux environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Intermediate+ English level or higher.
