Senior Mobile Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote or in one of the company offices; availability to work in the Pacific Time Zone (PT) and maintain overlap with US-based engineering and product teams is required.

What you will do

• Develop, test, and release production features for high-traffic consumer mobile applications.
• Own mobile features end-to-end, from technical design and implementation through testing and Apple App Store or Google Play release.
• Contribute to mobile modernization, re-architecture, scalable architecture, shared components, libraries, tooling, and engineering standards.
• Apply AI-assisted development tools daily for production coding, testing, debugging, refactoring, code review, documentation, and workflow automation.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, product designers, and distributed cross-functional engineering teams across the United States, China, and Latin America.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, production support, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on mobile application development.
• Strong commercial experience with Swift/iOS and/or Kotlin/Android, including production mobile application development and maintenance.
• Experience taking mobile features from initial design through production release and publishing or maintaining applications in the Apple App Store and/or Google Play.
• Strong knowledge of mobile architecture patterns, including MVVM and Clean Architecture, and software design principles for maintainable applications.
• Hands-on daily experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools in production software delivery.
• Experience with mobile CI/CD, automated testing, release engineering, and production support.
• Strong ownership and accountability for delivery, with good communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working effectively with distributed and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Comfort understanding backend services, APIs, cloud infrastructure, databases, and integrations; familiarity with .NET/C#, Go, Python, Java, React, MS SQL Server, Azure, or AWS is valuable.

• Experience with React Native or Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP).
• Experience with mobile modernization or large-scale application re-architecture.
• Experience building shared mobile component libraries or internal developer tooling.
• Experience with high-scale mobile CI/CD and release automation.
• Experience working across both iOS and Android ecosystems.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms, retail applications, product catalogs, marketplaces, or other high-traffic consumer applications, including B2C mobile applications, product discovery, search, browsing, cart, checkout, customer accounts, or high-volume transactional products.
