C++ Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid, Singapore-based. Candidates must have the existing right to work in Singapore; visa sponsorship is not available.

hirify.global develops the Switchboard OTC trading platform, handling trading infrastructure across FX, equities, and cryptocurrency markets.

What you will do

• Build and maintain core Switchboard components, including pricing engines, connectivity gateways, market-data systems, and messaging infrastructure.
• Develop and deploy modern C++20 and Go services on Linux for cloud-native AWS infrastructure and colocation environments.
• Optimize microsecond-level latency, throughput, deterministic behavior, and production reliability.
• Work with market-data and reference-data pipelines across multiple asset classes and FIX integrations with banks and liquidity providers.
• Own the full lifecycle of systems from design and testing through deployment, monitoring, production support, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance, production releases, and Level 3 incident support, including a 15-minute acknowledgement SLA during working hours.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of strong C++ experience with Linux systems programming.
• Ability to work close to the metal and understand the behavior beneath the code.
• Experience with performance-sensitive systems, including profiling, optimization, and deterministic behavior.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals, including TCP/UDP and socket programming.
• Python experience for scripting, automation, testing, data analysis, and operational tooling.
• Experience with Git and shell scripting.
• Ability to write clean, testable code, review peer work, document systems, communicate proactively, and take responsibility for production behavior.
• Curiosity and willingness to use AI tools such as Claude and Gemini for code review, debugging, incident investigation, and documentation.
• Existing right to work in Singapore.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go; the role uses Go extensively for microservices and command-line tooling.
• Experience in financial services or trading technology.
