Senior Java Software Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Tashkent, Uzbekistan — Tashkent, Shota Rustaveli Street, 19.

ACCESA is hiring for a software engineering role.

What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable Java backend applications and microservices focused on performance and reliability.
• Implement clean, tested, and optimized code according to engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps on containerization, deployments, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Build robust asynchronous systems using event-driven and message-driven architecture.
• Design efficient relational database integrations that preserve data integrity and responsiveness.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, engineering standards, and mentoring junior developers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend software development experience using Java 8 or above.
• Strong proficiency with Spring Boot and the Spring framework ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing RESTful microservices.
• Proficiency in optimized SQL queries and database work.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, message-driven systems, and distributed systems.
• Good understanding of Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools for automated build and deployment.
• Experience with Git and Agile development practices.
• Regular use of AI tools to improve productivity, automate or reduce repetitive work, support decision-making, and deliver higher-quality outcomes.
• Ability to use AI tools responsibly by writing effective prompts, critically validating outputs, understanding limitations, and taking ownership of final results.
• Strong English communication skills.

Nice to have

• German language skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience with Kotlin and/or Android mobile development.
• Familiarity with performance tuning and monitoring Java applications.
• Knowledge of backend security best practices.
