TL;DR
Unity Developer (Mobile Games): Building and maintaining efficient Unity and C# code for casual mobile games with an accent on performance, responsiveness, and reliable gameplay systems. Focus on optimizing mobile applications, identifying bottlenecks and bugs, implementing automated tests, and collaborating with design and product teams.

Location: Bucharest, Romania; onsite work in a modern office in central Bucharest.

hirify.global is a product company developing casual mobile games, including Dice Dreams, Domino Dreams, and Disney Solitaire.

What you will do

  • Align with game designers and product managers on feature specifications.
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, reliable Unity and C# code.
  • Ensure game performance, quality, and responsiveness across mobile platforms.
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs and develop solutions to improve development processes.
  • Collaborate with team members on an effective development pipeline.
  • Share knowledge and establish development best practices and standards.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience with Unity and C#, including scripting, textures, animation, GUI styles, and user session management.
  • Familiarity with level design and planning.
  • Experience developing and shipping mobile applications, including performance optimization for mobile platforms.
  • Knowledge of current design and architectural patterns and the ability to adapt to evolving standards and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code.
  • Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
  • Proficiency with code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, or Mercurial.

Nice to have

  • Experience developing and shipping successful mobile titles.
  • Experience with casual game development.
  • Experience with the Adobe suite or 3D modeling tools.
  • Cross-disciplinary experience in areas such as art or design.
  • Experience with data and analytics.
