Software Engineer - Agentic Engineering (AI)

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia

Salary: EUR 2,400–4,100 per month for a full-time role, plus performance-based variable compensation.

What you will do

• Maintain, refactor, extend, and run AI applications and services in production across reinsurance Claims, Treaty, and Facultative lines.
• Build agentic-friendly tools, services, and workflows used by LLM-based agents.
• Design AI workflows combining models, prompts, tools, enterprise data, and business logic.
• Validate model behavior, outputs, and assumptions from production and business-use perspectives.
• Design evaluation frameworks, test suites, human evaluation workflows, grounding, and assurance checks for AI/LLM systems.
• Improve reliability, scalability, cost control, and latency, and help bring new agentic systems into production.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering skills in a modern language such as Python, TypeScript, Java, or Kotlin, including clean code, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• A Forward Deployed Engineer mindset, with the ability to understand business problems, assess solution impact, and make pragmatic decisions.
• Experience with API, service, and integration engineering.
• Familiarity with LLM application patterns including prompting, retrieval-augmented generation, and tool or function calling, plus an appetite for agentic development.
• Comfort using agentic coding harnesses such as Claude Code, directing AI agents, reviewing generated code, and working in Linux and cloud environments.
• Ability to pick up and improve an existing codebase.
• Exposure to Data Science methods for validating AI models.

Nice to have

• Hands-on agentic or LLM application development, including agent loops, evaluations, and tool design.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry or AIP.
• Insurance or reinsurance domain exposure.
• Experience with cloud AI services such as Azure AI.
