Senior QA Engineer (Robotics/AI)

Location: Hanoi center, Vietnam; onsite with 1 day of work from home.

What you will do

• Create detailed automated and manual test cases for internally developed software.
• Increase and maintain automation scripts in the internal CI/CD system and perform exploratory testing for each release.
• Plan and execute stress testing for software drivers used with industrial devices.
• Investigate issues reported by engineers and customers onsite and create reports for development teams.
• Collaborate with product owners to improve user stories and requirements, and support shift-left testing.
• Take full quality assurance responsibility as the PIC for one project and coach junior staff when required.

Requirements

• At least 5–7 years of general testing experience, including at least 3 years of automated software testing in Web UI, API, or desktop applications.
• Solid knowledge of regression, integration, smoke, exploratory, and other testing methodologies.
• Ability to design tests using Boundary Value Analysis, Equivalence Class Partitioning, Decision Tables, Error Guessing, and related techniques.
• Experience with at least one programming language, such as Python or Java.
• Experience with one or more automation libraries or frameworks, including Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, Appium, Robot Framework, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Experience working in agile development teams with BDD/TDD approaches and supporting early shift-left testing.
• Good troubleshooting and development-team consulting skills; ability to collaborate effectively and willingness to learn and improve.
• Proficient English communication skills in reading and writing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and experience testing both software and hardware.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, including Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with significant Computer Science exposure.
• Experience with electrical or mechanical automation systems and prior experience in robotics-related technologies such as motion planning, control, or computer vision.

Nice to have

• Desktop application testing or hardware-related testing experience.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and shell scripts.
• Experience with AI-related or robotics-related products.
• Non-functional testing experience for desktop applications.
• Experience with AI products.
