Technology Operations Center Senior Technician (AI)

Location: Heredia, Costa Rica; hybrid role with a fully remote opportunity; availability for any shift, weekends, holidays, and scheduled on-call duties.

What you will do

• Manage Technology Operations Center activities during assigned shifts as part of a 24x7x365 follow-the-sun team.
• Monitor production applications and systems, respond to alerts, coordinate incidents, and escalate business-impacting issues through resolution.
• Work with IT and business teams to implement specific monitoring and maintain accurate maintenance notifications within published service-level agreements.
• Create and publish operational documents, procedures, and runbooks with minimal guidance.
• Support security vulnerability management and patching, as well as CI/CD pipelines across AWS environments.
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates by generating CSRs, provisioning and decommissioning certificates, using Linux command-line servers, and working with Certificate Authorities.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Information Technology and a Technology Operations or DevOps environment.
• Availability to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and scheduled on-call duties.
• Experience with software architectural patterns and cloud-based technologies.
• Experience implementing AI-based solutions for monitoring and automation.
• Experience working with teams, vendors, carriers, and suppliers across different technical skill levels.
• Experience ordering, renewing, and provisioning certificates through Certificate Authorities, including generating CSRs for SSL/TLS certificates and supporting zero-downtime websites.
• Experience using Linux command-line interfaces, problem and incident management tools, and modern IT operations, monitoring, and service management practices.
• Ability to develop, document, and publish operational processes and work with minimal guidance.
• Experience with Datadog Event Management, Incident Response and Bits AI; Amazon Web Services; Atlassian Confluence, Jira and Statuspage; ServiceNow; Microsoft Copilot; ChatGPT; and Claude.
