Business Operations Specialist (EV Charging)

Location: Hybrid, Helsinki, Finland; relevant working rights in Finland are required.

hirify.global is a software and services company providing an electric vehicle charging platform for businesses, including charge point management, payments, billing, tariffs, invoicing, driver access, roaming, and charging operations.

What you will do

• Produce, validate, and manage accurate transaction and financial data for internal stakeholders and B2B customers on daily and monthly cycles.
• Monitor data flows, reconcile transactions, investigate exceptions and anomalies, and support recurring finance and transaction operations.
• Analyze financial and operational data for reporting, business decisions, and process improvements.
• Maintain queries, scripts, workflows, and Snowflake-based data handling for transaction operations and reporting.
• Develop Python scripts, automations, and data-quality checks to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Finance, Product, Operations, and other cross-functional teams; identify root causes, improve processes, and document data logic and recurring tasks using Jira and Confluence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 2–4+ years of relevant experience in business operations, finance operations, transaction operations, data operations, or a similar role.
• Strong hands-on SQL skills and a good understanding of relational databases, including experience with Snowflake.
• Practical Python experience for data analysis, scripting, or automation.
• Strong understanding of data structures, data-quality controls, and operational reporting.
• Experience with financial, transactional, or reconciliation-related data and strong Excel or spreadsheet skills.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and independent approach to identifying inconsistencies and solving problems.
• Good communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment.
• Professional fluency in English and relevant working rights in Finland.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, payments, billing, invoicing, or transaction-heavy operational environments.
• Familiarity with EV charging, roaming, fleet charging, or platform-based transaction models.
• Experience with Atlassian tools, especially Jira and Confluence.
• Understanding of finance systems, reporting processes, or audit-oriented controls.
• Experience with automation, monitoring, or operational process development.
