QA & Lab Manager (HVACR)

Location: Hybrid, Belluno, Italy

Salary: €53,000–€58,000 gross annual salary, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop QA Engineers and Laboratory Technicians while setting objectives, allocating resources, and planning workloads across projects.
• Define testing strategies for electronic controllers and software releases from prototype through production, including test plans, use cases, validation methods, and acceptance criteria.
• Manage application laboratory operations, including functional, performance, and validation testing, equipment maintenance, calibration, test benches, budgets, consumables, and external testing services.
• Review test reports, assess product readiness, monitor quality and laboratory KPIs, and support compliance with industry standards and internal quality processes.
• Coordinate root cause investigations and product issue resolution with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Technical Support, and global teams.
• Drive test automation, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and improvements in product quality and testing effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5–7 years of experience in testing, validation, quality assurance, or laboratory environments for electronic products, plus 2–3 years of experience leading technical teams, projects, or laboratory organizations.
• Solid understanding of electronic controllers and firmware/software verification and validation processes.
• Knowledge of HVACR systems, refrigeration cycle fundamentals, and key refrigeration components.
• Experience with measurement instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and laboratory testing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus.
• Experience with test automation tools and continuous integration environments.
• Experience in planning, budget management, and project prioritization.
• Professional proficiency in English, written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Experience in the HVACR, refrigeration, or building controls industry.
• Knowledge of EN/IEC 60730, EN 60335, EMC requirements, and other industry standards and certification requirements.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, 8D, Lean, or Six Sigma.
• Experience in international and matrix organizations.
• Leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• An analytical, detail-oriented, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset.
