Senior MLOps Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in London, United Kingdom; office attendance required for a minimum of 60% of the time over a 12-week period.

Salary: £80,000–£107,500 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the adoption and operation of ML and AI tooling across hirify.global.
• Support infrastructure for internal ML platforms and customer-facing AI products, including governance, monitoring, and automated deployment.
• Build and drive adoption of a standard deployment approach that enables ML and AI products to reach production faster.
• Automate service modernisation, address security vulnerabilities in libraries and dependencies, and improve cost tracking and engineering standards.
• Contribute to technical strategy, evaluate options where no established approach exists, and communicate technical decisions.
• Mentor engineers, document practices, enable other teams, and prioritise requests from supported ML teams.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD tooling, ideally Terraform and GitHub Actions; CloudFormation and Jenkins are also relevant.
• Experience with containerised workloads using Docker and cloud platforms, ideally AWS; GCP and Azure are also considered.
• Experience productionising AI products, including agentic systems and the AIOps tooling behind them; AWS Bedrock AgentCore or similar is preferred.
• Experience with managed or self-hosted ML infrastructure, including tools such as Amazon SageMaker, Feast, Airflow, or Metaflow.
• Experience with model experiment tracking and monitoring tools such as MLflow, Weights & Biases, EvidentlyAI, CometML, Grafana, or New Relic.
• Experience writing production-quality, tested Python code.
• Significant contribution to major platform changes and migrations, with the ability to lead technical work through ambiguity.
• Clear communication, sound prioritisation, experience driving adoption of shared standards, and experience mentoring colleagues.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cloud networking fundamentals, including VPC, security groups, CDN, and WAF.
• Knowledge of identity and access management, including IAM, EntraID, and SSO.
• Experience with Spacelift, Braintrust, ElevenLabs, or other parts of the wider technology stack and partner ecosystem.
