App Engineer - Discovery & Consideration (Flutter)

Location: Hybrid in Berlin, Germany

Salary: EUR 60,000–70,000 yearly

What you will do

• Implement new features and components in the mobile app using Dart and Flutter, meeting high performance standards.
• Develop high-leverage features that improve UI/UX and conversion rates.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers, product managers, QA specialists, and designers to deliver features.
• Define acceptance criteria with product and other stakeholders and ensure feature acceptance against requirements.
• Contribute to team processes through regular agile retrospectives and take ownership of complex features.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of mobile development experience, including at least 1 year of Flutter development experience.
• Strong expertise in UI development and building complex frontend logic.
• Ability to write well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code and actively maintain codebase quality.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in an English-speaking environment.
• High autonomy and ownership, including the ability to implement complex features with little oversight.
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Team-oriented approach, including knowledge sharing and contribution to team goals.

Nice to have

• Design awareness and the ability to collaborate closely with designers.
• Familiarity with gRPC and Go in a shop backend environment.
• Expertise in UI and animation development.
