Thesis – Voice Interaction for Intercom Devices

Location: Lund, Sweden; on-site. The thesis is open only to students affiliated with a Swedish University/College, directly or through an exchange program.

What you will do

• Explore voice-first interaction for intercom devices, including responses to unanswered calls and accessibility improvements.
• Develop lip-syncing experiences for audio calls using virtual avatars.
• Improve speech-to-text accuracy in noisy environments and implement robust call transcription.
• Investigate on-device speech synthesis in resource-constrained environments and model natural prosody.
• Build real-time language identification and speech analysis pipelines for instant responses in the speaker’s language.
• Define a tailored thesis or project goal around one of the proposed research areas.

Requirements

• Be a Master’s or Bachelor’s student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Be affiliated with a Swedish University/College, directly or through an exchange program.
• The scope is 1–2 Master’s thesis students or 2 Bachelor’s thesis students.
• Submit a CV and University/College grade summary.
