Planning Manager (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

What you will do

• Lead and develop Production Planning and Materials Planning teams, including KPIs, performance objectives, succession planning, coaching, and mentoring.
• Own the Master Production Schedule, capacity plans, production work orders, schedule adherence, factory loading, and recovery plans for delays and bottlenecks.
• Ensure material readiness, manage CTB, shortages, excess and obsolete inventory, stocking policies, safety stocks, replenishment, and supplier risk escalations.
• Support NPI, site transfers, production ramps, material readiness, localization, and supplier transition initiatives.
• Drive Oracle ERP, MRP, planning and scheduling best practices, master-data accuracy, dashboards, analytics, process standardization, digitalization, and QMS compliance.
• Act as the escalation point for supply-demand imbalances and present planning risks and mitigation plans to senior management while coordinating with cross-functional and global teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 10–12 years of supply chain, planning, or manufacturing operations experience, including at least 5 years of leadership experience managing planners.
• Strong understanding of SIOP, MRP, inventory management, capacity planning, and supply chain optimization.
• Competence in demand planning, production planning, materials planning, inventory management, capacity planning, SIOP/IBP, Oracle ERP/MRP, supply chain analytics, NPI planning, and risk management.
• Leadership capability in strategic thinking, people development, change management, decision-making, stakeholder management, cross-functional leadership, problem-solving, communication, and influence.

Nice to have

• APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent certification.
• Experience in semiconductor capital equipment or electronics manufacturing.
