Business Architect (.NET/Azure)

Location: Hybrid in San Salvador, El Salvador

What you will do

• Lead discovery sessions and translate business needs into architecture proposals, non-functional requirements, and technical roadmaps.
• Design scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-effective solutions for high-volume data and media workloads.
• Assess technology landscapes, identify support, capacity, and security risks, and propose modernization plans.
• Evaluate alternatives, explain trade-offs, and justify architectural decisions and budgets to clients.
• Create and maintain solution diagrams, architecture decision records, technical specifications, and disaster recovery documentation.
• Collaborate on release and quality processes, including change-risk classification, rollback and backup strategies, and change approval.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience, including at least 2 years in technical leadership or solution architecture.
• Backend architecture experience with .NET or an equivalent enterprise stack.
• Cloud architecture experience with Azure, including app services, databases, data pipelines, networking, and security.
• Experience designing distributed and service-oriented architectures, including APIs, integrations, and messaging.
• Knowledge of data architecture, relational databases, performance, archiving, and retention.
• Experience with CI/CD and code quality practices, including Azure DevOps or Jenkins and static analysis.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, software testing strategy, and software development and design patterns.
• Ability to document architecture and communicate technical proposals and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders in Spanish and English.
