Corporate Insurance/Risk Analyst

Location: Mentor, Ohio, United States; travel may be required.

Base salary: $87,700–$98,224 per year.

What you will do

• Support global insurance programs covering workers’ compensation, employer’s liability, general and automobile liability, umbrella and excess liability, product recall, property, and stock throughput.
• Assist with insurance renewals, claims, recoveries, certificates of insurance, auto ID cards, and related business-unit support.
• Collaborate with the EHS team on the global property loss control plan, scheduling, and infrared program.
• Administer the risk department’s operating plan, including budgets, accruals, invoices, and monthly and quarterly variance reports.
• Support the Risk Management Information System, intranet portal, semiannual Enterprise Risk Management processes, and captive insurance company.
• Assist with acquisition diligence and integration, identify program improvements and cost/time savings, and handle sensitive matters requiring judgment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a corporate risk management environment involving global risks or at a corporate insurance broker working on large, complex accounts.
• Detail-oriented approach with exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex topics persuasively and concisely.
• Ability to influence, motivate, and collaborate with others, particularly across a geographically dispersed client base.
• Ability to plan, organize, direct, and control projects effectively.
• Team-oriented, proactive, professional demeanor with a positive outlook and initiative to advance departmental capabilities.
• Availability for required travel.

Nice to have

• MBA or legal background.
• ARM certification or a similar insurance certification, or interest in obtaining one.
