QA Engineer (AI)

Location: Kyiv, Ukraine; Warsaw, Poland; Houston, United States; or Remote. Remote-first with offices in Kyiv, Warsaw, and Houston.

Cargofy is building an AI-native operating system for global freight, using autonomous AI agents to automate procurement, dispatching, negotiations, operations, tracking, and workflows for carriers, shippers, and 3PLs across the US, Europe, and Asia.

What you will do

• Write and execute test cases and checklists on staging before releases, and own regression coverage across the web app, APIs, workflows, AI agents, and integrations.
• Automate critical end-to-end and API flows with Playwright or Cypress and run them in CI.
• Set up test accounts, seeded data, and sandboxes for calls, SMS, and email without using live client data.
• Reproduce and document bugs from Customer Success and clients, prioritize them, track ownership, and verify fixes.
• Smoke-test production after deployments and build AI-agent regression datasets and evaluations with engineers after prompt or workflow changes.
• Use Claude Code, Codex, or similar AI coding agents to generate test cases and data, write and refactor automated tests, and triage logs.

Requirements

• 2+ years of QA experience with web products, including automation on a real project.
• Strong manual testing skills, including test design, edge cases, regression testing, and bug prioritization.
• Experience writing and maintaining end-to-end and API tests in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Daily experience using Claude Code, Codex, or a similar AI coding agent for test cases, test data, automated tests, refactoring, and log triage; ability to demonstrate this workflow.
• SQL for data checks, log reading, and basic Git and CI knowledge.
• Ability to write clear bug reports and independently decide what to test first.
• English required for documentation and written communication.

Nice to have

• Experience testing LLM products, chatbots, or voice agents, including evaluations, non-deterministic output, and hallucinations.
• Load testing with k6 or Locust, or security testing experience.
• Experience with Laravel, Vue, or Odoo.
• Experience in logistics, TMS, freight, or another document-heavy domain.
