Senior C++ Software Engineer (Simulation & Tools)

Location: Bucharest, Romania. Office-based.

hirify.global develops original gaming experiences and Motion real-time simulation middleware for cloth, hair, and rigid objects used in AAA games on consoles and PCs.

What you will do

• Design and evolve APIs and tools according to the team roadmap.
• Research and develop new features for cloth, hair, and rigid-object simulation, including investigating machine learning applications.
• Design and implement new systems while maintaining performance, maintainability, and compatibility.
• Support game development teams with SDK and tool integration into production pipelines and optimize performance.
• Analyze system functionality, fix bugs identified by other working units and quality control, and document new systems and features.
• Collaborate across teams and work in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• Highly experienced in C++ programming.
• Good knowledge of algorithms, object-oriented programming, 3D mathematics, and computational geometry.
• Experience working in a team with similar responsibilities, such as providing middleware to clients.
• Good teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills, including direct collaboration with teams around the world.
• Ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests.
• Very good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, self-motivated approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of game physics.
• Knowledge of machine learning.
• Good knowledge of C# and WPF.
• Knowledge of game consoles.
