SEC Perpetual Finance, Assistant Vice President

Location: Miami, United States; other location: New Jersey.

Salary: $135,000–$200,000 annual base salary, plus discretionary bonuses and potential equity or other incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Own and oversee financial reporting and SEC filings for perpetual funds subject to the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
• Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, including reporting automation and AI-enabled reporting solutions.
• Evaluate transactions and developments for appropriate accounting and disclosure treatment in partnership with accounting policy, fund accounting, legal, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate filing timelines and review processes with fund accounting, legal, compliance, senior finance leadership, auditors, and other stakeholders.
• Manage auditor relationships, oversee the fund SOX program, and improve reporting processes, controls, accuracy, and scalability.
• Manage, develop, and mentor junior team members and support technical accounting, financial reporting, and strategic projects.

Requirements

• BS or higher in Accounting or Finance and an active CPA license.
• 6+ years of public accounting or mixed public/private accounting experience.
• Experience with SEC registration statements and SEC reporting, including preparation or review of Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
• Strong technical knowledge of public company disclosure, reporting, auditing, U.S. GAAP, and applicable SEC and PCAOB requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
• Highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and filing deadlines.
• Leadership skills and enthusiasm for coaching and mentoring junior team members.
• Collaborative approach, sound judgment, strong work ethic, commitment to excellence, and continued professional growth.

Nice to have

• Experience in alternative asset management, including asset managers, hedge funds, private funds, or other investment products.
• Experience with Workiva, reporting automation, AI-enabled finance solutions, or other technology-focused reporting tools.
