Intern, Game Designer (Game Design): Assisting with the design and iteration of game mechanics, systems, levels, gameplay loops, and player progression models with an accent on documentation, feature implementation, and player feedback analysis. Focus on supporting playtests, refining game features, and learning to apply game design principles across development workflows.
Location: Singapore
What you will do
- Assist with designing and iterating game mechanics, systems, and levels under supervision.
- Support gameplay loops and player progression models.
- Create, maintain, and update game design documentation, including GDDs, feature specifications, and wireframes.
- Collaborate with game design and development teams to implement game features.
- Help organize and run playtests, then collect and analyze player feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency with game development tools and platforms such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Roblox Studio, or other relevant engines.
- Basic understanding of game design principles, mechanics, and user experience.
- Basic knowledge of design tools and documentation practices.
- Strong willingness to learn and receive feedback.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and staff.
Nice to have
- A portfolio demonstrating personal projects, game jams, or coursework.
