Visual and Motion Designer (AI)

Location: Remote; working hours aligned with PST or CST.

Compensation: $50.00–$55.00 USD per hour for candidates based in Washington State.

What you will do

• Create graphics, illustrations, icons, animations, motion treatments, and product interface visuals from creative briefs and product objectives.
• Develop visual experiences that explain complex product concepts and highlight key product moments.
• Apply visual identity guidelines and design systems across products, presentations, and customer-facing materials.
• Explore creative directions, refine concepts based on stakeholder feedback, and present visual design decisions.
• Use AI-assisted creative tools to explore ideas, accelerate workflows, and refine generated content into production-ready assets.
• Build reusable visual and motion asset sets while collaborating with product designers and cross-functional partners on scope, reviews, and timelines.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of professional experience in motion design and animation, including a portfolio with polished motion work combining animation, graphics, and product interface elements.
• 8–10 years of experience in illustration and graphic design, with strong skills in typography, color, layout, composition, visual hierarchy, and visual storytelling.
• Experience creating cohesive visual assets within an established brand identity or design system.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted creative tools to evaluate, select, refine, and integrate generated output into finished design work.
• Experience translating creative briefs into high-quality visual deliverables while balancing objectives, feedback, and timelines.
• Strong understanding of combining multiple visual media to communicate product concepts and create engaging digital experiences.
• Ability to articulate creative decisions, collaborate with design partners, respond constructively to feedback, and deliver reliably.
• A portfolio demonstrating relevant graphic design, illustration, motion design, creative process, and finished work.

Nice to have

• Experience designing visual assets for AI-powered products, developer tools, or technology-focused digital experiences.
• Experience with interactive visuals, coded motion graphics, or motion integrated into product interfaces.
• Experience contributing to large-scale brand systems, design systems, or reusable visual asset libraries.
• Familiarity with creative tooling and workflows that improve design efficiency, consistency, and asset reuse.
• Experience developing mixed-media visual storytelling combining product interfaces, illustration, graphics, and animation.
• Portfolio case studies explaining creative process, design decisions, iteration, and final outcomes; demo reels, interactive examples, or style explorations are also welcome.
• Experience evaluating emerging AI-assisted creative workflows and applying them thoughtfully to professional design projects.
