Product Engineer, Frontend & UX (Vue)

Location: Leuven, Belgium; hybrid, with at least 3 days per week in the Leuven office. Valid work authorization in Belgium is required.

What you will do

• Own the frontend product experience for the Automate Platform, turning raw user problems into focused UX solutions.
• Build and evolve the Relu design system, including tokens, dialogs, buttons, spacing, type scales, and a data-heavy table component.
• Simplify order creation, agent workflows, inbox status and error handling, dashboards, onboarding, product updates, and the Ask Relu interface.
• Develop dentist-facing case approval flows with drawing and comments on 3D views.
• Work across Vue 3, TypeScript, Vuetify, Pinia, vue-query, and the Nx monorepo; add Python/FastAPI endpoints when features require them.
• Communicate directly with users, work from loose specifications, and coach a junior engineer through code reviews and pairing.

Requirements

• 3+ years building web product UIs, including at least 2 years owning UX decisions rather than only implementing designs.
• Strong TypeScript skills and experience with a modern component framework; Vue is preferred, while React is acceptable if ready to switch.
• A portfolio or live product demonstrating personal UX decisions, including the problem, experiments, and rationale behind the final solution.
• Experience building or maintaining a component library or design system.
• Ability to identify real user needs, distinguish essential requirements from nice-to-have ideas, and make independent product decisions.
• Ability to work from loose specifications, speak directly with users, communicate clearly, and follow work through reliably.
• Ability to coach a junior engineer through code reviews and pairing sessions.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Valid work authorization in Belgium and availability to work from the Leuven office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with data-heavy B2B tools such as tables, filters, dashboards, and workflow builders.
• 3D or canvas experience with three.js or WebGL.
• Figma skills sufficient to create quick mockups.
• Background in healthcare or other professional-tool environments.
• Dutch or French.
