Spanish Editor (Media)

Location: Remote; must be a registered freelancer in an EU country. A Brussels office is available.

Payment: €1,200–€1,440 per month, depending on where you live.

What you will do

• Translate and edit newsletters, social media content, and videos into Spanish while maintaining the required tone and style.
• Create engagement campaigns for Spanish-speaking readers when needed.
• Maintain a consistent voice and tone across all formats.
• Ensure newsletters are reader-focused and answer audience questions.
• Identify opportunities to make newsletters more accessible, engaging, and useful for Spanish-speaking audiences.

Requirements

• At least one year of prior experience in a Spanish-language media outlet.
• Extensive knowledge of the Spanish-speaking media landscape.
• Experience translating journalistic content.
• Native Spanish speaker with excellent English skills.
• Familiarity with common publishing systems and processes.
• Curiosity about what connects and divides people across Europe.
• Collaborative mindset, ownership of work, and comfort with responsibility.
• Registered freelancer in an EU country.
