Applied AI Engineer (AI)

Location: Singapore office; hybrid model with 3 days in the office per week. Relocation assistance is offered to new employees.

What you will do

• Partner with strategic startup customers as a technical thought partner to build novel applications on the OpenAI API and move them from ideation to scale.
• Provide technical guidance, experiment with customers, and prototype practical Generative AI use cases.
• Help startup customers identify opportunities to maximize business value and bring AI applications to production.
• Contribute to open-source resources, codify best practices, and publish useful resources.
• Synthesize and deliver product and model feedback to Product and Research teams.
• Build relationships across the startup ecosystem and collaborate with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Applied Research, and Product.

Requirements

• Ability to speak Mandarin is required for working with Mandarin-speaking customers and/or vendors.
• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, ML engineer, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript, with a strong grasp of AI and LLM best practices.
• Experience building and/or delivering prototypes on an API platform.
• Ability to proactively identify opportunities to maximize customer business value through the OpenAI API.
• Ability to own problems end-to-end, learn missing knowledge, drive multiple concurrent projects, and prioritize effectively.
• Passion for startups, an effective high-throughput operating style, a humble attitude, and eagerness to help colleagues.
