Compensation Operations Analyst (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid work model with 3 days in the office per week. Relocation assistance is offered to new employees.

Salary: $180K–$200K base pay per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own configuration and day-to-day operations of compensation tools and HRIS compensation modules.
• Manage annual and off-cycle compensation processes, including data integrity, testing, quality assurance, and on-time execution.
• Build and maintain compensation datasets, dashboards, audits, and data flows across systems.
• Lead compensation vendor relationships, including implementation, troubleshooting, and data submissions.
• Diagnose system issues, identify root causes, and improve compensation processes and tooling.
• Partner with People Systems and Engineering on architecture, workflows, automation, data accuracy, and stakeholder guidance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in compensation operations, HR operations/systems, or total rewards tooling in high-growth or technology environments.
• Strong HRIS configuration experience, especially with compensation planning modules.
• Rigor and precision in data auditing, validation, and lifecycle management.
• Ability to manage and optimize tools at scale in fast-moving environments.
• Effective cross-functional communication and comfort working with technical partners.
• Action-oriented, organized, and reliable under tight deadlines.
• Strong ownership mindset and a bias toward simple, scalable systems.
