Senior Product Manager (Finance Platform & Accounting Engineering)

Location: Seoul, South Korea; onsite role.

What you will do

• Define the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for core finance and accounting platform products.
• Lead the full product lifecycle from discovery and technical requirements through design, development, deployment, and post-launch optimization.
• Partner with Controllership, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Internal Audit teams to understand workflows and automate month-end, continuous closing, and accounting operations.
• Write user stories, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria while managing a prioritized agile backlog.
• Establish KPIs for data accuracy, reconciliation speed, automated ledger entry rates, and system processing latency.
• Present product updates, architecture decisions, and strategic trade-offs to senior finance and technology leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related technical or quantitative field.
• 8+ years of experience in product management, program management, solutions architecture, or software development delivering large-scale, enterprise-grade software products.
• Ability to break down complex financial processes into scalable software requirements, with strong data-driven analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical finance partners and executive leadership.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, drive alignment in matrixed organizations, and deliver complex platform initiatives under tight timelines.
• Strong commitment to working backwards from user pain points to build intuitive, high-impact internal platforms and tools.

Nice to have

• Engineering, computer science, or an equivalent advanced degree.
• Experience defining APIs, data pipelines, microservices, or Platform-as-a-Service capabilities for enterprise internal users.
• Understanding of accounting principles, general ledgers, sub-ledgers, revenue recognition, tax engine integrations, or enterprise ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle Financials.
• Direct experience in e-commerce, fintech, high-frequency transactional platforms, or payment gateway architecture.
