Community Manager

Location: Lausanne; hybrid or remote, with timezone overlap with the US or Europe. Occasional travel to Lausanne and events is required.

hirify.global is building an automated laboratory that enables AI agents to run biology experiments through integrated software, hardware, lab workflows, data pipelines, and AI systems.

What you will do

• Manage daily social presence on X and LinkedIn, including product updates, customer wins, blog amplifications, conference content, and reactive field-related posts.
• Run the Proteinbase community, including its newsletter, competition updates, designer spotlights, and Slack community.
• Own participant-facing operations for open competitions and hackathons, from applicant communication and rules to judging logistics and post-event recaps.
• Turn competitions and hackathons into public artifacts such as leaderboards, datasets, and blog posts.
• Triage inbound community and customer messages and route deeper technical questions to the appropriate team members.
• Coordinate with the founders and science team on content planning, amplification, and publication decisions.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience running social, content, or community activities for a technical company, science-adjacent media brand, event series, or community platform; self-built audiences and adjacent experience are also accepted.
• Strong and distinctive writing voice, with the ability to write LinkedIn announcements, customer replies, and community posts without generic AI phrasing.
• Genuine curiosity about biology and AI, with the ability to follow technical conversations in protein design and AI without requiring them to be explained.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple channels, partnerships, and ongoing threads while building systems to track them.
• Comfort with ambiguity and making editorial decisions without an existing editorial calendar or playbook.

Nice to have

• Existing presence in protein design or AI bio communities.
• Experience running a hackathon or competition.
• Short-form video editing experience.
• Experience building a technical community from scratch.
