QA Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Prepare and execute test cases, checklists, test data, and reports based on project requirements.
• Perform manual backend, API, integration, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify, document, localize, and track defects through resolution, including analysis of logs with Kibana, Grafana, or similar tools.
• Verify changes and new functionality across microservices, event-driven systems, and multiple internal and external integrations.
• Participate in requirements analysis, identify missing or contradictory scenarios, and assess product quality risks.
• Work with Business Analysts, System Analysts, developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to plan testing and ensure release quality.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in manual testing, primarily focused on backend, API, and integration testing.
• Experience in banking, fintech, or payment systems, including testing loyalty programs, bonuses, cashback, and financial transactions.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, SQL, HTTP, JSON, and client-server architecture.
• Experience testing microservices and event-driven systems, including Kafka topics, producers, consumers, and event processing.
• Experience with functional, integration, regression, and E2E testing, as well as data reconciliation across multiple systems.
• Ability to analyze business and system requirements, identify missing or contradictory scenarios, and independently plan and organize testing activities.
• Strong log analysis and defect localization skills using Kibana, Grafana, or similar tools.
• Experience preparing test cases, checklists, test data, and reports, and documenting defects clearly and thoroughly.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Colvir or other core banking systems; basic understanding of CI/CD.
• Ability to work independently with a large number of integrations and dependencies and collaborate effectively with project stakeholders.
• English level: Intermediate or above.
